A Pinterest and Instagram fav IKEA hack is to take an IKEA kitchen top as a desktop and combined with ALEX drawer units. The veneer KARLBY is a popular choice, this laminate top is a more cost effective option.
Laminate worktops are durable and affordable. They are easy to wipe clean, and the worktop keeps its beauty over time.
This is a more cost effective top compared to a KARLBY, however the KARLBY is a veneer and this is a laminate, with a thickness of 2.8 cm (KARLBY is 3.8 cm).
Finished edges on all 4 sides.
Laminate worktops are very durable and easy to maintain. With a little care, they stay like new for many years.
You can cut the worktop to the length you want and cover the edges with the included edging strip.
The thinner worktop with straight edging strip works perfectly in a modern style kitchen.
Create a perfectly coordinated look by combining this worktop with a matching wall panel.
Laminate worktops are made by pressing layers of paper and resin onto particleboard under continuous high heat and pressure, creating a durable and practical surface.

Wipe dry with a clean cloth.
Do not place a toaster, coffee maker, kettle or other kitchen appliances that emit heat directly over a seam between two worktops because the heat can damage the seam.
Always use a chopping board, never cut directly on the worktop with a knife. Never pull an object with rough or ragged edges across the worktop as it can scratch the surface.
To prevent permanent stains on the worktop, wipe clean spills or messes immediately with a soft cloth dampened in water and a mild washing-up detergent or soap.
